# Razorpay Payouts Overview

> Automate cashback payouts to referrers via RazorpayX payout links

## What are Razorpay Payouts?

Razorpay Payouts automatically send **cashback rewards** to referrers through [RazorpayX](https://razorpay.com/x/) payout links. When a referral qualifies, Referbro creates a claim link. The referrer opens it, enters their UPI or bank details, and Razorpay transfers the money.

Without this feature, cashback is **manual** — you mark each reward as paid from Analytics after you pay the referrer yourself.

## How It Works

1. A friend's order completes the **Reward Return Period**.
2. Referbro creates a **RazorpayX payout link** for the cashback amount.
3. The referrer gets a **WhatsApp message** with the claim link (Cashback Payout Link template).
4. They open the link and enter UPI or bank details.
5. Razorpay processes the payout. Referbro updates the referral to **Paid** and can send a **Reward Notification** with the amount and UTR.

## What You Need

* A **RazorpayX** current account with payouts enabled
* **API credentials** (Key ID, Key Secret, account number) saved in **Apps → Referbro → Settings**
* A **cashback** referrer reward type on your campaign
* The **Cashback Payout Link** WhatsApp template (shown in WhatsApp Settings only after the feature is enabled)

## Cashback Without Razorpay Payouts

If the feature is not enabled:

* Cashback rewards stay **Pending** until you pay the referrer yourself
* Use **Mark as Paid** on **Analytics → Referral Details**
* The Cashback Payout Link template is **hidden** in WhatsApp Settings
